Border Bullets keen to hit the mark against old rivals
Date of Event : Fri Oct 6, 2017 8:22PM

The Border Bullets have their sights set firmly on revenge against Wagga Sloggers in their Plan B Regional Bash clash at Albury’s Bilson Park on October 22.

Selectors have named a powerful 26-man squad including Daryl Tuffey.

“The depth is incredible,” selector Trent Ball said.

“We culled 20 off this list who could have held their own.

“There is great leadership in the group as well with some great experience with six club captains involved in the squad.

“I’m excited for everyone involved and can’t wait to get one back on Wagga who fluked a win against us last year with Ethan Bartlett’s hundred.”

Lachie Paton, Liam Hocking, Chris Galvin and Callum Langlands have been named as the Bullets’ under-21 players with two required to play in each game.

Ball said a captain would be announced within the next fortnight.

“We’re not sure on the captaincy just yet,” he said.

“It’s hard enough to just pick the squad.”

Wodonga’s Robbie Jackson will coach the Bullets with Ball, Heath Naughton and Rod Barton the selectors.

The Bullets defeated the Northern Inland Bolters by five runs in the final at the SCG in 2015.

The squad is: K. Brown, A. Popko, R and N. Brown, D. Tuffey, C. White, D. Weeding, K. Milosta, M.  Armstrong, S. Malhotra, J. Craig, A. Weighell, A. Borella, G. Daniel, B. Simmons, R. Addison, M. Jaensch, N. Sariman, J. Warren, D. Cameron, J. Hatton, M. Crawshaw, L. Paton, L.Hocking, C. Galvin, C. Langlands
